Newborn/Baby FAQ

1. Do you shoot in the studio?

We can come to you if you prefer especially if it’s a newborn shoot, we feel the comfortable home environment is important for great photos.  When the baby is older you may prefer to come to us as we have a lot more space to be creative.

2. What is the best age to photograph my baby?

Between 14 days and 3 months is ideal however we can capture a great moment at any age.  We also specialise in family/children’s photography have a look at our services page.

3. What does the photographer bring?

The photographer will bring a professional digital camera, tripod, backdrop, lights and props.

4. How should I prepare for the arrival of the photographer?

Have a space ready for the photographer to set up their equipment.  Keep the baby dressed only in their nappy for the first shots and other bright outfits ready for the rest of the shots.  Have any toys ready so that they can be used for the shots.  You and other children should be dressed ready for any group shots.

5. Do I get any prints?

You will get digital images, we can arrange prints at an additional cost.

6. Can I have more than 10 retouched digital images?

Yes you can, I charge £30 per retouched digital image or £75 per 10 retouched digital images.

7. Do you offer different types of finishes?

Yes we do. We offer very high quality frames, canvases, acrylics and more. Have a look on our services page for details.

8. Can I get black & white images?

Yes

9. Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a £20 deposit is required, paid online on this website. There is a £20 cancellation fee if cancelled within 24 hours.

10. When are you available for bookings?

We are very flexible and really do try and cater for you, so let us know what works better for you, this includes evenings and weekends.

11. Where is the studio?

The studio is in Twickenham.

12. How can I get to the studio?

You can drive or I can pick you up from any local station.

13. Do I need to pay congestion charge?

We are not in the Congestion zone.

14. Is parking available?

Yes

15. How to book?

Call us and we can put something in the diary.

16. Who owns the copyright?

The Photographer will own the copyright, but you will be given a license to use the images on email, web use, and print. If you are using the image in press all we ask is that you credit the photographer. If this will be used in a commercial context please call us.
